Tap-enabled gear is a longer arc: physical items that open a digital moment without fumbling for links.
Smart Gear here means clothing or accessories with a built-in NFC or tap surface. Someone taps your gear with a phone and lands on something you chose: a profile, an event page, or a small hub of links you curate.
That only works if it ties cleanly into profile-linked identity inside Re-Route later on. We are not shipping that stack today. When we do, the goal is simple utility and consent, not gimmicks.
Tap-enabled gear could help hosts share meet details or let creators point people to safe, on-brand destinations. None of this replaces in-app navigation. It is an optional layer for people who want their gear to work as hard as their app.
